Negotiation Update
On 4 April, the Minister signed and extended the 2013 Agreement reached between RMI, FRI and NUMSA. As previously communicated, MISA has not signed the Agreement, as there are no benefits for our members.

We are in the process of challenging the Minister of Labour on the legality of the extension to our members (non-parties) and will keep you posted on this process. The reality is that the Agreement gazetted by the Minister is now law and effective until 2016. Should you have any queries relating to the new minimum wages, which are now extended by the Minister, kindly contact our offices.
