Pain subsides as the injury heals

As injured tissues start to heal, movement becomes less painful.

But in some cases the pain may remain even though the injury has completely healed.

As unlikely as it may sound, this condition may be present in 10 to 30 percent of all injuries.

In such cases the remaining pain is no longer a warning sign, but the pain has become the problem.

We then need to turn the focus away from the “hardware” of the body - the muscles, joints, ligaments and bones (which have healed) - to the “software”, which are the communicating and processing systems of the body.
